Position Summary:

Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure the integrity of the data in the ERP system (non-financial modules).  Work with the different areas to ensure critical data is entered in a timely manner to have meaningful reports. This will be achieved by monitoring and coordinating with the applicable departments in respect to their portion of system data and by reviewing the critical data to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.  Assist in ensuring that Standard Operation Procedures for ERP related tasks exist in the different areas.

Freedom to act, under moderate supervision, in broad and varied assignments requiring originality and ingenuity with substantial latitude for unrelieved action and decision.  Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.  Confer with supervisor on recommendations.  Review progress and evaluate results with management. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain daily jobs in ERP
  • Review system files and make necessary corrections before uploading to ERP (daily)
  • Verify uploaded ERP data (including uploads from Lab) to ensure no system upload errors (daily)
  • Verify product output quantities against source documents (daily)
  • Generate/distribute production reports on daily/monthly basis
  • Track production KPIs like production downtime, product input/output, etc.
  • Backup/assist Material Handling with ERP transactions (inventory movements, production receipts, etc.)
  • Scan and electronically file documents
  • Assist in tracking waste disposal
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of Master Static Data in the ERP system including but not limited to the Product Master/Warehouses, Recipes/Process Specs, Equipment Information
  • Assist in creation/modification of ERP and Operation Department Procedures
  • Assist Accounting with Process Specs for Product Costing/Std Costs
  • Coordinate and assistant in troubleshooting data input errors in the ERP system. Create support tickets if cannot resolve issue.
  • Perform Month-end tasks including but not limited to job closures, production output verification, job consumption/reagent adjustments, finalizing/verifying production inventory quantities/reports, updating Production Reporting spreadsheets
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ role in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge/experience with an ERP system and the different modules (Inventory, Purchasing, Manufacturing)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented: This skill is extremely important since this person will be ensuring accuracy of data
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and distribute work assignments so all work gets done in a timely manner
  • Advanced Word, Excel skills (Access, and Power Point a plus)
  • Ability to review large amounts of data and recognize outliers
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and changes.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Push, pull and lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, walk, reach, and bend as required.
  • Sit at a desk and operate a computer for an entire shift.
  • Wear safety gear and required PPE.
  • Pass employment background check including a drug and alcohol test.
