Position Summary: The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination of the acquisition of raw materials and metal sales. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Logistics coordination with customers and transporters to maintain an updated schedule for raw material receipts.
- Maintain records of receipts, assist warehouse with inventory control of raw material receipts and tracking of 3rd party packaging.
- Oversee customer master records and associated unit and material information.
- Responsible for all billing activities.
- Maintain documentation as per DOT and RCRA regulations
- Maintain direct contact with customer and fulfill customer service activities.
- Coordination with internal Laboratory to verify receipts of samples and results.
- Address any other customer request or concerns in an expeditious manner.
- Ensure that SOP processes are followed as required under ISO 14000.
- Data entry and analysis via internal ERP.
- Verify miscellaneous invoices for Catalyst and Sales.
- Maintaining Commodity price databases and weekly internal / external reporting.
- Researching and sharing relevant analyses and news items to senior management which improve efficiency and profitability.
- Process catalyst paperwork.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, procurement or customer service in a manufacturing, refining or other industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Minimum of two years’ experience with an ERP system
- Familiar with logistics standards and EPA/RCRA/DOT regulatory requirements and/or processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage expectations of external parties & vendors
- Superior customer service skills
- Must use utmost discretion in all presentations, correspondence and communication with and for staff and top management.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Push, pull and lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
- Travel by air, train, car or other transportation means as needed to meet business objectives.
- Stand, sit, walk, reach and bend as required.
- Sit at a desk and operate a computer for an entire shift.
- Wear safety gear and required PPE.
- Pass employment drug and alcohol test.
