Aleon Metals is looking to hire an Investor Relations Analyst/Associate. Responsibilities would include detailed financial and other analysis in Excel, preparing investor presentation materials; communicating with investors and analysts; coordinating Wall Street investor conferences and non-deal road shows, including some limited travel; attending internal management meetings; and coordinating with senior management on company messaging. This position will report to the CEO and provides excellent visibility to the company, offering interaction with senior management, dialog with the company’s investors.  The position level will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

Position Summary:  The Investor Relations Analyst/Associate will work closely with multiple groups and will report to the CEO. The position will be expected to support initiatives with the investment community, assist in ideation, analysis and development of investor materials, manage the Aleon Metals Investor Relations Portion of the website, and support the team with overall stakeholder messaging. Flex schedule /part remote options available.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development and execution of the Company’s market and investor, communications strategy, serving as a key point of contact for stakeholders, and partnering with leadership on strategic positioning.
  • Plan and execute a targeted approach to Buy-Side and Sell-Side meetings to deliver against the company’s corporate and departmental goals for IR.
  • Build and leverage strong investor relationships to foster investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value via one-to-one interactions.
  • Take a lead role on drafting and managing internal development of press releases, slides and other materials for external meetings, investor conferences and related activities.
  • Make recommendations for, and oversee planning of, conference attendance, participation on panels, meetings with investors and other venues to engage new and existing investors.
  • Support CEO and other colleagues in managing equity research and investor relationships.
  • Provide insight on market activity and present them to executive leadership team members.
  • Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues and other factors that could impact the business.
  • Maintain Q&A repository and provide input into the overall communications strategy.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure smooth interaction.
  • Participate and assist in investor presentations and meetings.
  • Analyze individual business unit performance and conduct peer company comparisons.
  • Maintain current market intelligence.
  • Track and analyze macro market data and assess operating activity ramifications.
  • Contribute to the development of quarterly earnings press releases and quarterly conference call notes.
  • Prepare materials for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or Finance; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of direct investor relations experience, with additional experience in equity research, corporate strategy, finance or corporate communications a plus.
  • 2+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets.
  • Strong background in financial modeling and financial reporting.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving work environment, and prioritize throughout the day, while maintaining a long-term, programmatic focus.
  • Credible, forward-looking and comfortable dealing with executives internally and externally.
  • Team player with an eye on continuous improvement in the role and for the department.
  • Comfortable navigating formal and informal channels to get the job done.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to talk with investors and maintain the company’s image.
  • Excellent written communication skills to prepare convincing presentations.
  • Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must understand financial reports and study daily financial market happenings.
  • Flexible, proactive, and a quick learner.
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, valuation methods, and capital markets, as well as the analytical skills required to create financial models and evaluate sell-side models.
