Position Summary: The Catalyst Recycling Service Sales Representative is responsible for securing sales contracts for raw material by educating refiners on the environmental services GMR provides to their industry. Demonstrate an aggressive and resilient approach to sales, while developing relationships with current and potential customers. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Direct manage all accounts from the first contact with the customer until the receipt of the catalyst, following up to ensure complete customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Communicate complex pricing models to customers.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of customers to meet budgeted volume targets.
- Work as part of a team to maintain relationships with customers and transportation partners.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and trust by consistently responding to inquiries and quickly providing reasonable resolutions to any issue that may arise.
- Represent the company at various conferences related to petrochemical refining, recycling conferences and/or business meetings to promote the company.
- Work with Customer Service Representative to accurately plan and organize the receipts of spent catalyst, being the liaison for the customers as needed.
- Review receipt records, and prepare weekly/monthly reports to monitor performance against budget goals.
- Provide information as needed for budgets, monthly forecasts and long range plans of catalyst services.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience and training.
- At least three years of commercial experience in service sales. Chemical and/or Petrochemical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Aggressive sales background, with an emphasis on developing new relationships, and gaining the trust of long term customers.
- Strong business acumen, ability to create and manage spreadsheets and develop pricing models required.
- Must possess basic accounting principles.
- Ability to interact persuasively with customers at all levels of their organization, in person, by phone and in writing.
- Strong sense of teamwork, with the willingness to think outside the box and bring new ideas
- Strong communication skills, market intelligence, customer sourcing and relationship building
- Travel two to three days per week nationally, and internationally on occasion; travel may taper off as relationships are developed.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
Push, pull and lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
- Stand, sit, walk, reach and bend as required.
- Travel on day and overnight business trips by car, air, rail and other means as business necessitates.
- Sit at a desk and operate a computer for an entire shift.
- Pass criminal background check including a drug and alcohol test.
- Wear safety gear and required PPE.
